Bishop E J Arthur  is a native of Lamar, South Carolina and a graduate of Lamar High School. He continued his education as a graduate of Florence Darlington Technical College.

On September 14, 1974, he was joined in holy matrimony to Deaconess Easter M. Grimes Arthur. To this union, God has added (2) children, Tiffany and Everick, one daughter-in-law Kena, and 3 grandchildren.

Bishop Arthur’s biblical education as a graduate includes the Church of God in Jesus Bible School, High Point, N.C. and Elohim Bible Institute Hartsville, S.C. His pastoral history includes three (3) churches: St Peters Holiness of Ellerbe, NC, Fisher Hill Community Baptist Church of Cheraw, SC and presently Chief Cornerstone Apostolic Church of Chesterfield, SC (Middenorff Community).
