Bishop-Elect Melvin Fox
Elder Melvin Fox is the son of Mr. Willie Fox, and the late Mrs. Elizabeth Fox. He is the second of three children. He is a graduate of Mayo High School in Darlington, SC. He received the gift of the Holy Ghost in October of 1975 at a revival at The Church of Deliverance on Avenue C in Darlington. He later became a member; and was baptized in the name of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The name of the church was later changed to Faith Holiness Church. The late Marie Yarborough-Pooler served as Pastor. Elder Fox worked in the church, he served as a faithful deacon, Sunday school teacher, choir member, and bass guitar player.
On June 5, 1976, Elder Fox was united in holy matrimony to Mrs. Charlene Jett-Fox. From this union they were blessed with two children; Melvin (Patricia) Fox Jr., and Felicia (Tyrone) McKnight. They have two grandchildren, Xavier and Kierstin McKnight.
Elder Fox accepted the call of God to preach his word in the 80’s. He graduated from the Church of God in Jesus Christ Bible School in High Point, NC. He also received a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Elohim Community Bible Institute under the direction of Dr. Vera M. Davis. He was appointed Pastor elect of Faith Holiness Church on February 8, 2009. On August 1, 2009 he was installed as Pastor.
